Some times it may happen that you not able to transfer your NP HMI Program through a serial cable may be due to use of window 7 for making your NP programs. So in this case the best alternative is to use a Pen Drive or USB drive to transfer your program from NP terminal to your Laptop or from Laptop to NP terminal. Steps to Transfer Data Through Pen Drive (USB) in NP HMI Terminal
1.First of all Make your Program in NP Designer which you want to transfer.
2.Now make sure you follow below points before using a Pen drive or USB flash memory
i) Do the data transfer from the NP system menu.
ii)Do a format of the USB flash memory as FAT32 before use (It does not support NTFS).
iii) Make sure you have installed USB Driver for NP Series Terminal.
3.Now you are ready to Transfer your data from computer to USB Memory or Vice Versa.
Follow the below method to transfer the data from your laptop or computer to NP HMI Terminal.
i. Insert the USB flash memory or Pen drive into the computer.
ii. Use the NP-Designer's File Menu to transfer the screen data to the USB
flash memory.
iii. Set the SW1 slide switch on the back of the PT to ON (left position). Then
turn the power of the PT to OFF and then ON. The system menu will be
started.
iv. Remove the USB flash memory from the computer. Then insert it to the
USB (host) connector on the back of the PT. Unless the buzzer is turned
OFF, the PT will make a peeping sound when it detects the USB flash
memory.
v. Use the file menu of the system menu to transfer the screen data stored in
the USB flash memory to the PT or Vice- versa.
vi. Remove the USB flash memory from the PT.
vii. Set the SW1 slide switch on the back of the PT to OFF (right position).
